Pastor's Profile

God's Fortress Ministries

Reverend Godson Dave Sebuguzi, the Founder of God’s Fortress Ministries (GFM) was called to stop fishing soda clients at Crown Bottlers Company (Pepsi-Cola Uganda), and instead fish men and transform them into effective disciples.

Godson was birthed into Church Ministry in 1999 at Watoto Church, formerly Kampala Pentecostal Church. Following diligent service in various capacities at Watoto Church, Godson now leads God’s Fortress Ministries.

Like all chosen leaders, God began speaking him to leave his comfort zone, and start afresh building a solid home, a Fortress, for his people in 2011. Upon heeding to this call following a five year decision battle, God’s Fortress Ministries (GFM) was born. At GFM, the Word of God is being preached and taught using significant and often concealed biblical truths, setting many Christians, otherwise held captive by men’s traditions, false teachings and secular based foundations, free by God’s timeless truths.

The Ministry miraculously acquired permanent home in Komamboga community, Kawempe Division, Kampala District. It was in the midst of Covid-19 July 25, 2021 that GFM moved from rented property in Ntinda to Komamboga.  The Ministry boasts of a team of inspired and devoted Pastors, Deacons and Elders who support the Lead Pastor to provide spiritual oversight and leadership to its members.

Reverend Godson Dave Sebuguzi, was born on June 28, 1968, in Migadde-Bombo. Geared for a successful career in Marketing having completed a Higher Diploma in Marketing, God altered his career path steering him into Church Ministry at Kampala Pentecostal Church (Now Watoto Church).

In his pursuit to provide quality leadership to Gods precious people, Godson pursued a Diploma and Bachelor’s degree in Bible and Theology at the Pan African Bible College Nairobi (Hosted at Glad Tidings Bible College – Makerere, Uganda). This was followed by a Post Graduate Diploma and Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management at Uganda Management Institute (UMI).

Graciously through this acquired knowledge and understanding, coupled with a deep love for God, service above self, prayer, and intercession, Godson is well positioned as a solid bible teacher, seasoned preacher, intercessor, mentor, counselor, and leader among others.

Leading by his side is his loving and supportive wife, mother to their four children, and medical doctor Catherine Maiteki-Sebuguzi.  In addition to her professional service, she currently provides leadership and oversight to the Ladies and Children’s Ministries at GFM. Their children; Ariella Talemwa 13, Ariana Asanide 11, Azriel Ayinza 09,  and Annelle Asante 05 are active in the Children’s ministry and are no doubt, basking in God’s Love and growing in wisdom, knowledge, and Favor with both man and God.
