Fortress Heritage

God's Fortress Ministries

“All your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children.”
— Isaiah 54:13 (ESV) This verse has been the heartbeat of our mission—to teach, equip, and mentor our children in the ways of the Lord, raising up many godly generations to come.
At GFM, we deeply treasure the children God has entrusted to us. Fortress Heritage, our Children’s Ministry, is dedicated to nurturing young hearts in the love and truth of Jesus Christ.
We believe children are not just tomorrow’s leaders—they are today’s disciples, called to walk with God and reflect His light from an early age.
Since our move to Komamboga, the leadership prayerfully began with Sunday school classes for children aged eleven and below—laying a strong foundation during these most formative years.
The ministry is graciously overseen by Dr. Catherine Sebuguzi, alongside a passionate team of committed disciples of Christ who serve with love, patience, and vision.

What is Fortress Heritage?
Fortress Heritage is more than a ministry—it’s a movement to intentionally disciple children in a Christ-centered environment that is fun, safe, and deeply formative. Through age-appropriate teaching and heartfelt mentorship, we aim to plant seeds of faith that last a lifetime.

Our Mission
To raise a godly heritage—children grounded in truth, strong in spirit, and joyful in their journey with Jesus.

Our Team
Our Fortress Heritage teachers and volunteers are passionate, trained, and deeply committed to your child’s spiritual journey. Every child is known, seen, and loved.

What We Do
Interactive Bible Lessons – Every Sunday, children explore Scripture through stories, memory verses, and lessons that stick.

Worship & Prayer – Kids are taught to worship freely and talk to God in their own words, cultivating a personal faith.

Creative Activities – Crafts, games, and dramatizations help bring God’s Word to life.

Mentorship & Life Skills – From kindness to respect, obedience to courage—we instill godly values through real-life examples.

Special Events – Fortress Heritage also hosts exciting events like children's Sunday, Bible quizes, heritage fun days, holiday programs, and camp.

Age Groups

To ensure each child is nurtured at their level of understanding and development, Fortress Heritage organizes children into age-specific groups. Each class is prayerfully named to reflect both identity and destiny in Christ:

Heritage (Ages 5 and below)
Where the youngest ones begin their journey in God's love—through songs, stories, and gentle teaching. These little ones are our treasured heritage, growing safely in faith.

Arrows (Ages 6–8)
Inspired by Psalm 127:4, children in Arrows begin to discover their spiritual identity and learn how to aim their lives toward God’s purpose.

Royals (Ages 9–11)
This class builds on identity in Christ, helping children understand their worth as sons and daughters of the King, called to live with purpose and courage.

Quivers (Ages 12–18)
In Quivers, pre-teens are sharpened for impact. These growing disciples are prepared with truth, wisdom, and strength to carry faith into the next stage of life.
